About us

The company "of the Anonymous - Amateur Audiovisual Material Archive’’ was founded in Athens in 2002. It's goals are the preservation, publicizing and study of greek amateur cinema. Its founding members are, in alphabetical order, Nikos Kanelos, Kostas Karkanis, Dimitra Karya, Manolis Kasimatis, Manos Lygnos, Nikos Mitrogianopoulos, Afroditi Nikolaidou, Katerina Patroni, Gina Petropoulou and Giorgos Potagas.

At this moment the company owns amateur films of a duration of more than fifty hours, which is  being methodically digitized and archived. A complete catalogue will be published at the site of the company as soon as possible as well as online viewable clips.

The company "of the anonymous” is a member of the European Association Inedits (the only member in Greece and the Balkans) and has taken part in almost all the conventions that have taken place after 2000. It also often organizes, in association with Ilioupoli Cinema Club, public screenings of the archived material.

The company is based in Vyronas in Athens and at the moment you can contact us via e-mail. Your meeting or visiting us is most welcome; however, it is possible only after an appointment.

The President is Nikos Mitrogianopoulos, the Vice-President is Aris Vidalis and the Secretary is Argyro Moustaki.
